Consumer Education is the study of why "consumers" buy. It also will give you insight on subjects such as keeping a checkbook, balancing a checkbook, applying for credit cards, loans for houses, cars, etc. An educated consumer will acquire this knowledge before making any types of purchases. An educated consumer will also gain perspective as to how much money they can spend. With this course you will be creating and keeping a budget plan, learning how to write checks, applying for the right credit cards, learning how important interest rates are and how important it is to pay all of your bills on time. You will also learn how important your credit rating is when you want to make a big purchase such as a house.
