Honors Biology is a Keystone preparation course for students with an interest in science.  This course investigates the intricate world of living organisms. Students taking this course will explore the methods of science, ecology, cell structures, functions and processes, basic chemistry and genetics. 

At the end of the course, students are prepared to take the PA Biology Keystone Exam. 

Honors Chemistry-Sholtis-LH

Honors Chemistry is a first year chemistry course in preparation for AP Chemistry or AP Biology.  This course will introduce students to the periodic table, chemical reactions, nomenclature, stoichiometry and will emphasize chemical problem solving.  Students will participate in online lab simulations and record data while viewing laboratory videos to provide experience in the laboratory setting. The goal of the course is to prepare students for future careers in the science and heath professions.

Since chemistry uses mathematical equations, it is highly recommended that students have completed an Algebra course before enrolling.
