This Pennsylvania History elective course is an interactive class which utilizes a variety of online resources including simulations and virtual tours to introduce students to those features unique to the Keystone state. The course activities place special emphasis on the use of primary sources in historical thinking. Local history will be highlighted, especially the railroads, coal, coke and early steel and iron making industries in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
This is a one semester course and there are no prerequisites.
